 I want to tell the entire world about Gabrielle. If you are reading this and find yourself in a "troubled" time, please keep reading what I experienced with Gabrielle.
I felt as if I had hit rock bottom in January 2006. For my entire life I tried so hard to maintain the positive attitude I was told to have. I never wanted anyone to see that I was hurting. In my life, I have had one relationship failure after another. Finally, I felt all  I had been through was more than I could hide. I started crying and did not stop for a week. Thankfully, my friend told me about Gabrielle.  When I first met Gabrielle, I was overwhelmed by my admiration for the sense of calm and peace that she had. I remember thinking how much I wanted to know what she knew, so I too could have the peace she has.  I met with her one time and instantly knew that not only did she have an understanding of what I was experiencing but she could give me the tools I lacked through her coaching program.  I signed up and began a program, that at the time, I had no idea the impact it would have on my life.  Right from the start, I noticed a difference in myself.  I was excited about the changes. For the first time, I was not just telling someone my problems, I was getting a clear understanding of how to deal with them.  We quickly began the Clear Talk sessions. I was nervous at first that I would not be able to communicate as well as Gabrielle did, but she made me feel so comfortable and allowed me to work through my thoughts and goals. She was my coach! She let me do the work and continued to guide me on the right path.  I learned that "my universe" is wonderful ! I now really feel in my soul,  that it is wonderful. After all the work we did with Clear Talk and Soul Coaching, Gabrielle began to share with me her gift of Breathwork.
If you haven’t tried Breathwork, it is worth every dime to learn how Breath, meditate and relax in a knowing that all is safe.  I learned so much about the flow of energy through your body. I learned to recognize how I was absorbing so many others negative energy and the affect it was having on my own soul. Not only did I learn to recognize it, I learned not to accept it as my own.  For me, that was a wonderful gift. Gabrielle is such a blessing and I am excited that she may touch more souls, and their lives may become as balanced and fulfilled as mine is now. In just a short time, she taught me  the "Life and Love" skills that we all need to live peacefully in this universe.  I now feel that I have the aura of inner peace, strength and love that I longed for when I met Gabrielle.

Breath and combining tools  that Gabrielle may intuitively feel guided

Breathwork builds health and vitality. Undertaken in a soothing and relaxing atmosphere, our approach to breathwork is based on a conscious connecting with the natural breath. Over time, it cultivates an experience of breathing freed from control by the human will. By allowing the natural breath to emerge, the breathing process itself begins to release tensions. We can then respectfully gain access to the body’s vital energies.

You are unique in your experience of life. Breathwork emphasizes the body-mind connection in a way that respects each client’s current emotional, mental, and physical state. We do not impose a single breathing technique, but rather observe, teach, and coach the opening of the breath according to your specific needs. We begin with personal profiling and assessment to formulate a system that will address your individuality, wherever you are in your personal journey.

For example, Gabrielle will often combine appropriate level yoga classes with the breathwork sessions. To open the breath, we might first condition and open the body. If there are restrictions in the body’s muscular support of respiration, gentle yoga poses can mindfully release those tensions. Gabrielle’s approach to breath is creative and spiritual, innovative and unique. Yogic Breathing for Physical, Emotional and Spiritual Well-Being

The interrelationship between the breath and the state of our health and mind has been explored for centuries in the sophisticated art and science of Yoga. Ancient yogic practices reveal a deep appreciation for the healing potential of the breath, utilizing it as a means of building health and vitality, finding inner peace and enhancing spiritual attunement. Today in the west, pranayama or “conscious breathing” has great potential as a therapeutic practice and when used wisely can have astonishing effects on consciousness as well as on physical health and well being.

What is Barratt Breathworks?

Barratt Breathworks is a yoga based healing art that emphasizes the ancient practice of pranayama as a means to restore physical, emotional and spiritual balance. Rather than advocating breath control techniques, our approach focuses on a discipline of pranayama aimed at rediscovering the naturalness of the breath and liberating it from the tensions imposed on it. In freeing the natural breath, we not only gain access to our vital life energies but also open a gateway to higher consciousness and our own inner powers of healing.

Barratt Breathworks Model

Because human beings embody a broad range of physical, mental and spiritual capacities, there is no single approach to breathwork that will serve everyone's needs. For this reason, our model focuses on personal profiling and assessment in formulating a system that will address individual differences. Some breath sessions will focus primarily on building health and vitality while others place more emphasis on emotional healing and spiritual development. Our model features three distinct levels of inner work.  

Restorative Breathwork

We begin with a progressive sequence of breathwork sessions designed to identify and dismantle common breathing habits. Sessions focus on cultivating foundational skills in yogic “complete” breathing and highlighting its vital role in restoring physical health and vitality. Emphasis is upon stress management.

(sessions are approximately an hour to an hour and a half.)

Transpersonal Breathwork

This progressive sequence of breathwork sessions is designed to identify and dismantle more complex breathing habits as a means of clearing emotional blocks. Emphasis is on emotional healing as a vital and primary key to personal growth and spiritual development. This is an integrative and systematic approach intended to support deep inner work.

 (sessions are approximately an hour and a half to two hours.)

Advanced Transpersonal Breathwork

The inner work continues with this progressive sequence of breathwork and meditation practices designed to develop personal skills in yogic meditative breathing. Emphasis is on “following” the breath without interfering with it. This simple yet powerful approach to breathwork deepens the process of personal growth and spiritual development. It is highly recommended for those who are learning to meditate as well as for those who seek to deepen an existing meditation practice.

THE BARRATT BREATHWORKS TRAINING PROGRAM

 The Barratt Breathworks Training Program is engaged in a comprehensive study of the systems, theories and practices that comprise the Yogic Science of Breath. This unique training program applies scientific and esoteric principles in a sequential series of experiential programs and classes. Courses range from those that offer personal and professional skills in Breathwork, to certification in Restorative and Transpersonal Breathwork. The Advanced Study Program offers a variety of classes designed to deepen and expand skills in the mastery of the Yogic Science of Breath

 

Introduction to Breathwork
6 hours - Instructor: Gabrielle Gerard

Synopsis: This one day course introduces the scientific and esoteric theories of the Yogic Science of Breath. The basic principles of the Yogic Complete Breath will be covered. Class instruction focuses on a series of self-sensing exercises with special emphasis on developing breath awareness. Students will learn how to identify and dismantle one or more of their own poor breathing habits. Emphasis is upon developing personal skills in diaphragmatic breathing.

Restorative Breathwork I
21 hours - Instructor: Gabrielle Gerard

Synopsis: This foundational course will provide the student with a basic comprehension of the cosmology of the breath. The fundamentals of the Yogic Complete Breath and its vital role in restoring physical health and well being will be covered. Students will be introduced to a systematic method of breathwork designed to identify and dismantle common breathing habits. Emphasis is upon cultivating personal skills in Restorative Breathwork.

Restorative Breathwork II
21 hours - Instructor: Gabrielle Gerard

Synopsis: This course will provide the student with a deeper comprehension of the cosmology of the breath. Class instruction will focus on learning how to identify and dismantle common breathing habits in others. Students will learn how to facilitate breathwork as a means to restore physical health and well being. Emphasis is upon developing basic facilitation skills in Restorative Breathwork.

Restorative Breathwork Practicum
This practicum is a home study program requiring students to facilitate an assigned number of sessions (50 contact hours minimum.) This practicum provides hands on working knowledge of Restorative Breathwork, allowing students to cultivate basic facilitation skills at this level.

Requirements of Practicum:
• 50 contact hours
• Five case history write-ups

Prerequisites : Restorative Breathwork I & II

Restorative Breathwork Certification Course
6 Hours - Instructor: Gabrielle Gerard
$75.00

This Restorative Breathwork Certification Course consists of hands on facilitation, essays and objective exams. Primary testing will be given through a series of practical exams in an open clinic atmosphere. Upon successful completion, students will receive formal certification in Restorative Breathwork.

Prerequisite: Successful completion of Restorative Breathwork practicum

Note: Students is planning to continue with the Transpersonal Breathwork Courses may postpone this certification course and take it during the Professional Certification Completion Course. They do need to have at least 25 contact hours of the Restorative Practicum completed and documented to enroll in the Transpersonal Breathwork Course.
